We've won! Officially the best glamping in England!

The Oscars of the tourism industry took place on the 24 April at VisitEngland’s ‘Excellence in Tourism’ Awards. Hosted by Sue Perkins at the Hilton Waldorf Hotel, London, it was a glamourous celebratory occasion; we were invited as one of the three national finalists for the ‘Glamping Provider of the year’.

And …. we are utterly ‘thrilled with bells on’ to confirm that we won!

This is the fourth consecutive year that we have received an award from VisitEngland for the Dandelion Hideaway, however this year’s award is truly the icing on the cake; as pioneers of glamping and with ten years of dedication, and immense hard work we are completely overwhelmed, humbled and delighted.

A word of our worthy competitors….

This is the very first year that there has been a specific Glamping category and we were one of just three sites selected for the honour of being a finalist.  We applaud and praise our competitors, Bella at Longlands in North Devon and Charlotte & Ross at Secret Meadows, Woodbridge, Suffolk; both have remarkable, outstanding destinations. We are privileged that together we have set the exceptionally high standards, aspiration and indeed inspiration for the glamping industry in England.  

It’s so much easier not to enter competitions (!), however for those of us who do put our heads ‘above the parapet’, lay down our souls and bare our fledging businesses for all to examine, scrutinize and dissect it reflects positively on our characters and celebrates our pride, ‘flying the flag’ for glamping and English tourism.

We are genuinely proud to be amongst such renowned colleagues.
