canvas cottages
Each of our canvas cottages has been lovingly designed with comfort in mind for a true luxury glamping experience; a leather sofa to curl up on, armchairs and the soul of the tent, a large wood burning fire with an oven and stove top for preparing delicious breakfasts, late suppers, and not forgetting the retro whistling kettle!
The cottages are perfectly spacious, a living area with a farmhouse kitchen dresser, an old fashioned butler’s sink, brass taps and thick chunky wooden work tops. Sleeping six, the accommodation is perfect for family and friends with two bedrooms; the third ‘bedroom’ is a double bed in a secret wooden cabin, always an attraction for the children.
With Farrow and Ball heritage colours, designer furnishings, the finest linen curtains and roman blinds its these touches that make the difference, each cottage has its own individual character and beauty. The icing on the cake is the ensuite bathroom with a roll top bath, chrome shower and piping hot water, quite simply the finest in the glamping world.
The cottages ooze relaxation, missing electricity, the hum-drum of the television is gone replaced with bird song, whispers of the wind and sounds of the countryside. The flicker of candlelight and oil lanterns all offer escapism from the urban whirlwind.
Award winning glamping in the UK
Don’t just take our word for it though... The National VisitEngland Awards for Excellence are the most prestigious awards in English tourism and in 2014 and 2015 we received the bronze award in the self-catering accommodation category, beating many brick cottages!
In 2016 we were awarded Highly Commended. We were the only glamping accommodation to have been shortlisted and awarded.
We continually improve our glamping site with the aim of being the best glamping holiday provider in the UK and so to top this off we were so proud when we won the VisitEngland “Best Glamping Accommodation in England” award in 2017.
Setting
The cottages are nestled in a picturesque location with fields and wonderful views of glorious open countryside.Clustered with privacy in mind and with a hamlet just six cottages there is an atmosphere of seclusion and friendliness where families get to know one another and children play happily together.
Rabbit's Warren, Mole's Hill and Fox's Den are nestled high into the field bank and have delightful far reaching views. Hare's Form is tucked a little higher within a banked area, nestled against the side of the Spinney. Badger's Sett is in lower ground tucked into the Spinney.
At the furthest private location is Bluebells, our cottage for two with a romantic hot tub. Bluebells comes with its own adjacent treehouse so it’s perfect for families with older children.
