Bluebells is luxury glamping at its finest - located on the far edge of a small woodland spinney in the picturesque open countryside. This is a private location, with wonderful far reaching views for those looking for a luxury farm stay, a real old fashioned farm landscape with woodland, tall hedges, and patchwork quilt fields.
Lounging, munching, snoozing…
Bluebells has been lovingly designed to create a nostalgic and enchanting atmosphere. The generous sitting and dining room in the canvas lodge includes a French day bed, perfect for relaxing with an old Penguin classic, as well as a leather Chesterfield sofa and armchairs. The heart of the room is led by a wonderful wood burning range, with an oven and large stove top for preparing delicious breakfasts and late suppers. Oh and not forgetting the Le Creuset whistling kettle!
Heaps of delightful cushions and luxurious throws are piled onto the leather chesterfield sofa, rocking chairs and day bed. The atmosphere is pure country home with faded florals, checks and stripes; relaxing and enjoying the rural rhythm of life is just so easy-peasy!
Bluebells oozes relaxation. Missing electricity, the hum-drum of the television disappears, replaced with bird song, whispers of the wind and sounds of the countryside. The flicker of candlelight is so truly dreamy, a trail of pretty tea lights, chunky church candles and lanterns all offer escapism, utterly charming in the evening; huge skies, bright stars, and sheer peace and quiet.
Sleeping
Filled with charm and romance the bedroom is home to a gorgeous mahogany sleigh bed, dressed with the finest goose down duvet and pillows, topped off with a beautiful vintage-style padded eiderdown. The bedrooms romance is echoed with the rich red ‘toile de jouy’ billowing curtains. An abundance of cushions, oodles of pillows and a tray for breakfast in bed, complement the totally delightful setting.
Hot Tub
Nothing gently whispers in your ear ‘relaxation’ like glamping with a wood-fired hot tub, a delightful way to relax, with loved ones … under the stars, peace interrupted only by owl hoots from the woods.
Our hot tub nestles privately by the side of the woods, with fruit trees sprinkled around the landscape creating a beautiful English orchard atmosphere. Scented lavender plants add to fresh air and will help you relax, unwind and make your stay a peaceful escape.
Hot water bathing has been a tradition in many cultures since roman times, our hot tub comes from the luxurious company, Skargards who bring their inspiration from Swedish relaxation methods. The hot tubs are woodfired making them natural and at one with the surroundings which seemed a perfectly complementary blend to the gorgeousness of the Bluebells glamping retreat.
Bathing
The roomy bedroom leads to the en-suite bathroom with roll top bath with lashings of hot water, plus a proper loo. This is our most luxurious bathroom ever; a claw footed free standing bath with a Victorian chrome fitted shower. A large vintage style basin with chrome rails for towels and bathrobes.
Veranda
With a bistro table and chairs on the veranda, you can enjoy breakfast outside, the rocking chairs and plump cushions encourage relaxing, reading and whiling away time. With another larger outside dining table for four and a swing bench under the Nest, there is heaps of seating and dining choices within your own private space.
Oh, not forgetting the wood fired hot tub as well which is nestled privately at the side of the veranda of the canvas cottage.
Bluebells Nest
Bluebells has a little sister, the bijou Bluebells' Nest. This is an elevated wooden treehouse; a haven snuggled up amongst woodland and suspended over a drift of wild flowers. Inside the Nest treehouse, two young adventurers will be cosy under plump eiderdowns on antique iron beds. Bluebells and Bluebells' Nest are just a few feet apart and are taken together as a pair, sleeping two or four, plus an infant.
