The Honesty Store

We’ve transformed our old cowshed into a charming reception, information

& honesty store; we have tried to make The Cow Shed an attractive and

welcoming area that will help you enjoy your stay with us.

Please make yourself at home and do feel most welcome to borrow any

books, games or magazines. We hope that you will be tempted by the

freshly baked bread, cakes, cheeses, quiches, pork pies as well as the

honey, jams and pickles. Not to mention the big fridge jammed full of

local sausages and bacon for you to cook on the stove! I’m sure you are

looking forward to your unhurried holiday breakfasts, yummy lunches and

cosy dinners as well as course as the odd treat!

Most of our produce is sourced from local Leicestershire farms; we are

passionate and dedicated to supporting local farmers and growers and we

do hope that you will be too by supporting the honesty store with your

custom during your stay.



Our food is fresh, quality food, produced as locally as possible, and

delivered direct to the farm, all our meat is local, very high quality

and British. We stock a wide range of local produce; we have tried to

source everything that you would wish for to create splendid English

breakfasts, delicious lunches and tasty evening meals.
You’ll find treats too of course; chocolates, biscuits & sweets as well

as store cupboard basics, cereals, olive oil, tea, coffee, eggs…etc.,

and a few nice surprises too. The drinks chiller stocks a selection of

soft drinks, beers, ciders & wine. And of course, not forgetting,

you’ll be able to try our own goat’s cheese and butter and our handmade

luxury goat-milk soap!
