Canvas cottages

We believe that our canvas cottages are truly the best ‘glamping’ accommodation that you will find anywhere in the UK. The cottages have been designed to our very own exacting specification with Sharon’s famous attention to detail and wonderful design touches!  

The canvas cottages are located in the Spinney Field, a five acre picturesque field in the heart of the farm positioned perfectly to catch the evening sunlight.  This is a fabulous location, with wonderful far reaching views of glorious countryside, a real old fashioned farm landscape, woodland, tall hedges and ‘patchwork quilt’ fields. The cottages are grouped with privacy in mind, nestled beside woodland and hedgerows, particularly Bluebells, our most romantic, sumptuous, retreat for two.

The other cottages sleep 6 and are named after animal homes; Rabbits Warren, Moles Hill and Fox Den are built into the field banks and have delightful far reaching views. Hares Form is tucked away at the side of the wood perched a little higher and nestled in the corner of the wood on the lower field area is Badgers Sett.  

The cottages are wonderfully spacious, a living area with a farmhouse kitchen dresser, an old fashioned butler’s sink with brass taps and thick chunky wooden work tops. The soul of the tent is a delightful wood burning fire with an oven and stove top for preparing delicious breakfasts and late suppers, oh and not forgetting the whistling kettle!

The styling of the cottages is vintage country chic; romantic faded florals, distinctive stripes, checks and rambling blooms with rustic farmhouse furniture creating a nostalgic, tranquil and enchanting atmosphere.

The cottages ooze relaxation, missing electricity, the hum-drum of the television and radio are gone....replaced with bird song, whispers of the wind and sounds of the countryside. Utterly charming in the evening, huge skies, bright stars, and sheer peace and quiet. The flicker of candlelight is so truly dreamy, a trail of pretty tea lights, chunky church candles and lanterns all offer escapism from the urban whirlwind.

Sleeping

The cottages sleep six; the accommodation is ideal for family and friends with two bedrooms, each home to wonderfully comfortable, wooden framed beds with luxury duvets and eiderdowns. The third ‘bedroom’ is a double bed housed in a secret wooden cabin, always an attraction for the children.  

The private bathroom area is truly unique in luxury camping, no trudging along to a shower block or stepping outside of the tent!  We have designed and created a luxury vintage bathroom; you’ll find an old fashioned slipper bath with chrome fitted shower, a hand basin, WC and a dressing area.  

Discovery trunk

In your tent you will find a trunk that will unearth the explorer in you, a collection of invaluable objects that will bring to life the delights of the countryside. A set of binoculars to spot rabbits, hares, buzzards and the elusive barn owl. The classic I-spy range of books will help you to wander and discover insects, birds and trees. A tape measure, magnifying glass and jam jar to measure and record your finds!

Games compendium

Each tent has a collection of old fashioned, classic games to enjoy: playing cards, snap, dominoes, drafts, snakes & ladders & monopoly.
